February 26, 1999 Cornell Contemporary Chamber Players Concert Cornell University, Barnes Hall, Ithaca, NY 8:00 PM I conducted a piece by fellow student Christopher Arrell. This was my first official conducting experience.
March 18, 1999 Cornell Contemporary Chamber Players Concert Cornell University, Barnes Hall, Ithaca, NY 8:00 PM Variations and Fantasies on an Accordion Song premiered by Blaise Bryski.
April 10, 1999 Cornell University Festival Chamber Orchestra Cornell University, Barnes Hall, Ithaca, NY 8:00 PM Premiere of movements II and III of my unfinished Concerto for Marimba and Chamber Orchestra. I played the solo marimba part.
June 10, 1999 June in Buffalo Contemporary Music Festival State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNYAB), Slee Concert Hall, Buffalo, NY 8:00 PM Quintus performed on one of the June in Buffalo concerts by the New York New Music Ensemble, conducted by Harvey Solberger. I participated in this entire festival, which lasted from June 5 - June 11, 1999.
July 16, 1999 Aspen Music Festival and School: Aspen Contemporary Ensemble Harris Concert Hall, Aspen, CO 4:00 PM Sextet played by the Aspen Contemporary Ensemble. This piece is written for the Aspen Center for Composition Studies Advanced Master Class Program that I participated in from June 14 - August 27, 1999.
September 25, 1999 Cornell Contemporary Chamber Players concert Cornell University, Barnes Hall, Ithaca, NY 8:00 PM Thursday premiered by Judith Kellock, soprano, and Lisa Leong, piano. The authors of the text are the Ithaca-based writers Bridget Meeds and Kenny Berkowitz. The text was written specifically for this song cycle.
November 14, 1999 Syracuse Society for New Music concert May Memorial, 3800 E. Genesee, Syracuse, NY 2:30 PM Star Crossing premiered by the Society for New Music as part of the award for winning the 1999 Brian M. Israel Prize. I also played percussion on this concert in my own piece and in Arthur Levering's Twenty Ways Upon The Bells.
